Online thickness gauge

EAGLE EYE is a continuous thickness measurement device with a high precision double-sensor. It is based on the capacitive measurement principle and is installed on the collapsing frames to monitor the thickness along the entire circumference of the bubble. The accuracy of the thickness measurement is given by the use of the double electrode, which ensures accurate readings regardless of the variations in film temperature and environmental interferences.

Eagle Sky

On-line thickness measurer on circular scanner

The EAGLE SKY measuring system describes a circular motion around the bubble by gently stroking the film to make a quick profile measurement. Thanks to the high reading speed of the capacitive sensor and the complete measurement around the circumference, the system in combination with the Contrex cooling ring expresses the maximum result by maintaining the thickness tolerance at lowest levels.

Eagle Line

Linear scanner

The EAGLE LINE capacitive sensor is mounted on a linear scanner, which follows any profile variation of the flat film. EAGLE LINE is mounted at the outlet of the haul-off, or after the cooling cylinder on the cast lines, and detects the thickness of the film by moving along its entire width.

RDB

Bubble diameter adjustment

RDB determines the film width by means of high precision ultrasonic sensors. A dedicated control automatically manages the inflation/deflation of the bubble further guaranteeing constant lay-flat stability.

IBC Control

Control system

The IBC CONTROL system manages the correct bubble size through a minimum of three or more ultrasound sensors, which detect all inflation variations and make corresponding air quantity and quality adjustments.

Calibration cage

The cage is an integral part of the bubble's diameter automatic adjustment. A dedicated control manages the sizing cage in a fully automatic way.

Several versions are available for mounting winders with different surfaces depending on specific applications.

IBC

Internal bubble cooler

The bubble cooling system uses inflation air replacement to improve the extrusion speed through the circulation of cold air inside the bubble and cooling the film faster.

The IBC device maintains the correct inflation of the bubble and, in combination with the IBC Control ultrasonic sensors, performs automatic control of the bubble's width with maximum millimeter precision.

Oscillating haul-off

The HAUL-OFF CONTROL, in combination with the loss-in-weight dosing units and Contrex weight/meter control, assists in film stretching assuring efficient film production management.
